Let it Rain

In working on my Marauders the heavy battlesuit models have poses that just don't work for me. I knew I wanted to employ the big guns of the Rainmaker suit so I set about chopping him up and converting him. To the left is the standard look that it has. I guess it's okay but I just don't see the appeal of having the weapons flailing around in different directions. I wanted them all pointing the same way towards some unfortunate enemy target!

I decided that what I had to do was using a saw to cut the arms at the elbow and reposition them facing forward. In the process I accidentally got the assault cannon arm upside down and on the wrong side but I like the look so I am going with it. I also used the flamer cable to link the lascannon looking weapon to his pack. One of the belt feed pieces worked fine for the assault cannon.

 

The unprimed result with an Ogre head is below. It all fit together with out too much of a problem. It took some effort but I am happy with the result and I think he looks a bit more menacing with all the guns facing forward.
